Successful conference in Poland

Our dealers are very active of taking part in different kind of exhibitions and conferences, where they also are presenting our machines.

Last weekend Saturday our Polish dealer PPHU SAMET Grzegorz Dziejka attended a conference for Forestry Services Company (Konferencja dla zuli - pokazy i wystawa maszyn leśnych) in Przasnysz.

At our dealer PPHU SAMET Grzegorz Dziejka's stand two FARMA trailers could be seen - the smaller trailer T6 equipped with the 4,2 long crane and the other was market's favorite combination of T9 trailer with 6,3 long crane.

Despite of the bad rainy weather there were many people attending the exhibition and visiting our stand.

The feedback of the conference from our dealer point of view was great. They spent time discussing important features of FARMA trailers with potential end-customers. The FARMA trailers are very valued in Polish market and customers know that we do not come to terms with lower quality - through innovative thinking we reach the point where all our customers' needs have met.

It was first time when SAMET attended Conference for "ZULi" hosted by "Gazeta Leśna", and they are already planning to attend the next one!

Meeting Austrian partners

Last week our reclamation manager Kert traveled to Austria to visit dealers around the country. Together with salesman Tim they drove across the country from Arzl im Pitztal up to Vienna and visited in total 4 dealers: Landmaschinen Jandrisevits, Maschinen Steiner GmbH, Holzknecht Forstseilwinden and HZI - Hydraulikzentrum Industriebedarf.

The aim of this trip was to hear the voice of customer - what are these things that we need pay more attention to and become better. Many ideas were brought back to Estonia with Kert and going to be discussed on the following days with different departments in order to satisfy the needs of our customers!

Bäuerlein Dealer days

Sunday the 15th of Oct. our dear German salesman Peter Roos visited dealer Bäuerlein Landtechnik. He had his annual fairy in Buch am Wald-Traisdorf.
He has shown there two Farma trailers, a T12 G2 with 7m crane and a T9 with C 6,3 crane, T12 were equipped with own board hydraulic and dealer Bäuerlein made own power connection solution, now the pumps are usable with a PTO power train.
1000 people and more have visited during nice autumn weather the exhibition, especially the fire wood area had found a really nice popularity.
We like to thank Bäuerlein for the well done show and showing our machineries.


Am Sonntag den 15. Oktober besuchte ich unseren Händler Bäuerlein Landtechnik. Er richtete seine jährliche Ausstellung zur Kirchweih in Buch am Wald-Traisdorf aus.
Es wurden dort ein CT 7,0 Kran auf einem T12 G2 und ein T9 mit C6,3 Kran gezeigt. Der T12 war mit einer fest installierten Zahnradpumpe ausgestattet, welche über eine Zapfwelle angetrieben wird.
1000 oder mehr Menschen haben die Ausstellung bei sonnigem und warmen Herbstwetter besucht.
Speziell die Feuerholzbranche fand dabei reges Interesse.
Wir möchten der Firma Bäuerlein für die professionelle Ausstellung und das Zeigen unserer Maschinen sehr herzlich danken.

Two days with our partners from Germany and Netherlands

On the annual marketing meeting in January the German salesmen Tim and Peter came up with an idea to invite the dealers over and show them what, how and where we are doing. Since bringing a group of people over from Germany requires a set plan with all the details thought through very well, also a lot of exhibitions happening all the time and other duties, we decided that autumn 2017 is the perfect time for them to come. And to show the transparency of what we are doing for others too, we also asked journalists to join.

So they did come all together.

We had here our authorized dealers from Germany and Netherlands, together with journalists Max Riemann from HOLZmachen and Heinrich Höller from Forst&Technik magazines. Most of them arrived on Tuesday when they had a nice dinner in the city together with our people from Saue.

On Thursday morning they had a city tour around Tallinn city and afterwards a bus took them to the farm in Kidise to show how our machines are operating and let them to try it out as well. The new CT 6,7-9F G3 was there to be showed and tested. We took them to the forest where we showed what there Generation 3 has been made for and after that, we allowed people to try it as well.

After that, we drove the trailer out from the forest and loaded the logs on BIGAB. Yes, you read it right, on BIGAB. We have a special frame for logs which makes transporting the piles extremely easy and fast. We have in the farm the BIGAB 15-19, which is over 14 years old but is not showing any signs of giving up.

Also was showed the BC-18 energy cutter and FARMA-N tractor processor in action. The interest was great towards both. The energy cutter has always been popular in Germany. We also showed in the factory the new BC-25 demo of which the dealers seem to be very interested. 

They stayed overnight nearby the farm in Varblase and had a nice evening, eating Estonian food and went to the sauna. The next morning the bus took them to the factory in Saue, where our staff was waiting for them. First a short presentation was done by our people to introduce the background of the company.

Since the dealers and the journalists really want to see how our products are made, we of course took them for the factory tour. And also a small demo of BIGAB 7-10 and BC-25. 

We would like to hereby thank all the dealers and journalists who took the time to come to Estonia and spend these 2 days with us. We are very glad that we have such a good partners and that we have mutual interests and understandings of how a good teamwork should look like.

September is a exhibitions month

Last week took place Danish exhibition called Have & Landskab which is one of the biggest garden and landscape exhibition in Denmark. Our good dealer Helms TMT-Centret A/S showed there different BIGAB models. They said it was a great show and BIGAB got a  lot of good attention.

New team member - Christer!

We are pleased to welcome Christer Waldo as the newest member in FARMA Norden AB. We hope you will find work here rewarding and challenging. Here is a small introduction about him:

My name is Christer. I started working in Farma Norden in December 2016 as a temporary worker for Rob who is on parental leave. Now, in September 2017 I am fully employed at Farma Norden.

Here at Farma Norden I will work on the warehouse with in / out deliveries as well as other topics relating to that area. I also handle packing and marking of spare parts and take care of orders and quotes.

I used to work 10 years in the newspaper industry where I drove a forklift and worked on the warehouse with unloading and loading of trucks and standing at the running band with newspaper bundles.

I live in Norrköping with my girlfriend and our daughter who just turned four years old. At home we also have two cats and one big dog.

In my free time I like to go to the gym and spend time with family and friends. I also like to drive with my motorcycle when the weather allows driving. A lot of time is also spent with animals.

Christer heter jag. Jag började jobba på Farma Norden i december 2016 som vikarie för Rob som är på föräldraledighet.

Nu i september 2017 blir jag tillsvidare anställd på Farma Norden.

Här på Farma Norden ska jag jobba på lagret med in/utleveranser samt lokistik som rör det området. Jag har även hand om packning och märkning av reservdelar och tar hand om ordrar och offerter i viss mån.

Tidigare har jag arbetat inom tidningsindustrin där jag körde truck och jobbade på lagret med lossning och lastning av lastbilar samt stog vid det löpande bandet med tidningsbuntar. Där jobbade

jag i tio års tid tills företaget la ner.

Annars har jag gjort lite av varje när det gäller jobb. Har kört ut morgontidningen, jobbat i livsmedelsbutik, jobbat som telefonförsäljare/telefonintervjuare. Jag har skruvat ihop möbler för MIO möbler bla. Jag bor med min sambo och vår dotter som precis fyllt fyra år. Vi bor Norrköping. Vi har tre husdjur som består av två katter och en stor hund.

På min fritid gillar jag att hålla igång och spendera tid med familj och vänner. Jag är motorintresserad och har motorcykel som jag kör med. Mycket tid går även åt för djuren. Det var lite kort om mig.

FARMA cranes save the environment.

Our dealer Equipements Picken shared a video with us, where market's favorite crane C6,3 G2 is installed on the boat. The company Zulu Marine Services is doing cleanups after hurricanes around North and South Carolina and Florida, and the FARMA crane is indispensable when it comes to heavy duties.

Upcoming exhibitions

The end of the summer is going to be busy for FARMA and BIGAB - this and next month our machines can be found in different locations in different dates, so that everybody could have a change to meet our .

For the first time we are going to take part of the exhibitions in Norway, together with our dealer Johannes from Skogsverktøy. Johannes and our salesman Anders can be found during Agrisjå at stand 008 and Dyrsku`n at stand J442 where we are going to present both FARMA and BIGAB machines.

Our dealer Helms TMT together with our salesman Stefan is going to attend Have&Landskab in Denmark, where at stand A267 the BIGAB machines are presented.

In Finland we are going to attend the Silva Fair, which is happening in the beginning of September. Tero is going to be there to assist and help you to choose the machine which meets your requirements.

Before the Agritechnica exhibition in November, we have two more fairs happening in Germany, People in South of Germany and countries around have a great oppotunity to see us at Karpfhamer in Griesback im Rottal and people in North could easily visit our stand at DLG-Waldtage.

Anders and Stefan are going to attend the Entreprenad Live in Göteborg and Gallringsdagarna in Tidaholm in September.

After these exhibitions there is a break and time to prepare for the big Agritechnica exhibition, which is going to happen in Hanover in November.

AS FORS MW Team is going for a summer vacation!

The first half of a year has been great for us, we have had busy months and now it´s time for a brake, in order to come back with charged batteries and carry on the good work.

The production and assembly will be totally closed from 10th of July up to 30th of July.
Our Spare parts and After Sales team will be open all summer, but also with reduced capacity and we kindly ask for your consideration when reply times could be slightly longer.

Also the blog and news section is taking a break and will be back again in August.

15-19T to Finland

Our BIGAB 15-19T found its way to Finland, Kouvola where Pekka Pihkala became the new proud owner of it. Since it's the first 15-19T model that went to Finland, our Product Supervisor Sulev visited our dealer Agri-Kymi Oy, on whose yard he met the new owner and showed them how to get the maximum functionality out of the trailer and to get the work done smoothly.

Pekka päätyi T-malliin koska sen koukun teleskooppi mahdollistaa eri pituisten lavojen käytön. Koska kyseinen yksilö oli ensimmäinen Suomeen myyty 15-19T malli tuli tuotepäällikkömme Sulev Höbe Kouvolaan näyttämään vaunun toiminnot ja esittelemään vaunun. Vaunuun tutustumassa oli tuoreen omistajan ja jälleenmyyjän lisäksi myös FARMAn ja BIGABin suomen myyntipäällikkö Tero Hytönen. FARMA in the Canadian news!

FARMA was represented at the Saw Tech Log Expo in Canada where our dealer Equipements Picken introduced the Northern America what FARMA has to offer.

A lot of people visited our stand, also did the local Ottawa TV news channel who was there to interview Brad Charby who works at Pickens Farm Equipment. Brad commented the outcome of the interview like this:"It was pretty cool because around the city of Ottawa, EVERYBODY watches that news channel. People were calling, family from that area were sending messages....it was crazy. 

People were coming to the booth to see which log Sarah dropped with the log loader. The whole thing was live-TV and I had no idea what she was going to do. It was fun!"

Midsummer celebration

Fors MW has had a midsummer barbecue tradition for many years already, so did we have it this year. The whole Fors MW family had lunch in the yard where sausages and salad were served and nice time spent.

Due the midsummer celebration, we are on holidays tomorrow on 23th of June, but we will be back already on Monday!

Elmia Wood is over and another exhibition is around the corner already!

The world biggest forestry trade fair Elmia Wood has ended for this time. It was a great and successful week, despite of the rain which accompanied us for almost the whole exhibition time. We are sincerely thankful for our dealers who came by, all customers who showed interest towards our machines and all the other people who helped us at the stand.

Many machines found a new owner right at the stand. One of them was Dan Andersson (on the photo with our salesman Anders) who bought himself the FARMA T12 with C 7,0 crane.

But the exhibition season is going to carry on! Already this Wednesday we will be at Farmari exhibition with our BIGAB and FARMA machines and our people from there factory. Our stand at the FARMARI is ME2 where we are looking forward to seeing you!

Generation 3 crane - C 6,7!

We are happy to start introducing our new products. The first one is going to be our new Generation 3 crane C 6,7! 

The brand new FARMA C6,7 G3 is longer and stronger crane in our medium-sized forestry cranes range to meet all the requirements of the timber handling.  An Entirely new telescope, hidden hoses and terrific working geometry of the boom give good performance in your forestry work. Crane is made of high strength steel to give the best strength and low weight to give higher payload.

C6.7 comes with a new powerful 10 kNm turnhouse that is 30% stronger in slewing. We call these new cranes  G3 as they offer so many benefits for the user. 

The lifting cylinder is well protected behind the railing. New design ensures the crane to be more hard-wearing and maintenance friendly.

FARMA C6.7 has a reach of 6.7 m and is equipped with a single 1.5m extension. In full length it lifts 420kg.

12 exciting news at Elmia Wood

The world biggest forestry trade fair has began! And so have we built up our stand as it has been a tradition for many years already.
