Spring demonstration day, Maskin Väst, Karlstad, Sweden

That spring is perhaps not really here just yet was not something that anyone took notice off at the yearly spring show of Maskin Väst, Karlstad, Sweden. There were loads of interested customers and the response for the Fors MW products was fantastic. As every year Maskin Väst had filled the yard with machinery. Thank you Maskin Väst for a great show and for the huge effort we see from you in regards of our products!

Meet the heroes of Fors MW

At Fors MW we use laser, plasma and gas cutting. One might say, why do you not use laser for everything? Well, it is about time and resources. To cut thick in laser takes time and time is something that is often lacking when sales are up. So for the thick steel parts we gas cut and with that comes rough edges on the material. So before shot blasting the details need to be grinded off and that is where the heroes come in. We have one section in the factory where the heroes work. It is where the grinding takes part. This is a dirty and tough work but a work that someone needs to do. So, the next time you pass a grinder within a mechanical work shop, pass him an extra thought, since he is doing a heroes work.

Machine days at Staffans in Horred, Sweden

As every spring it was finally time, last weekend, for machine demonstration days at Staffans Maskiner in Horred, Sweden. The weather was really nice and there were loads of interesting customers.

We could see a huge interest for our products and perhaps a bit more for the dump trailer T8 with movable boggi, entirely built in high strength steel.

We thank the family Johansson for nice days and wish the best of luck with the business!

Great machine days at Traktor Nord, Uppsala Sweden!

Friday to Saturday 20-21 march our excellent dealer Traktor Nord AB in Uppsala had machine demonstration day and I got the pleasure to take part on Saturday with nice weather and some quite cold winds.

We had the pleasure to show  BIGAB 10-14 G2, BIGAB 12-15 and the new Dump trailer in high strength steel, the BIGAB T-8. Several new customers that are in process to switch into our hook lifting system spend time to really find out the advantage for BIGAB and also quite a few existing users that came around sharing the positive experience and views.

I guess there is no other better way when exiting owners value their product so high that they can convince new customers to take the step.  Also loads of interesting and valuable feedback for me to bring back home. The team at Traktor Nord made a great effort and people enjoyed their stay look at all the range of equipment.

Thank you Traktor Nord for having us and we hope for a nice season now when it gets a little warmer!

Great view in the South of Sweden!

Spring is arriving in Sweden. With spring starts the work season for BIGAB. These two photos are taken during a nice drive around the city of Malmö. The pictures show the BIGAB model 7 – 10 in action. One of BIGAB’s best selling models, and perfect for those requiring a smaller trailer for lighter loads in tighter spaces. Strong, stable but light and easily maneuverable are terms that adequately describe the BIGAB 7-10. Its versatility and strength make it the perfect choice for users working in residential areas, parks, cemeteries to mention some.

An article to feel happy about

The other day we visited a dealer of ours in Sweden. At the table a magazine was laying and we started to look through it. To our great excitement we saw a story about Gösta 87 years old from a small village in Sweden.

Gösta had recently made some huge investments in regards of his forest. Among several things he had bought a FARMA Generation 2 trailer. However he had not bought “simply” a Generation 2 trailer. He had in fact bought the 14 4 WD trailer with 7,0 m crane along with a NIAB tractor processor.

In the article we can follow Gösta when he receives his machinery and uses them for the first time. From FARMA and NIAB we are extremely proud of Gösta for choosing our products and we hope to meet with him as soon as possible.

Old lumber trailer meets new

Last week at a dealer visit we saw this quite old and used lumber trailer standing in the yard. The great thing for us is that it was exchanged towards a FARMA 9 ton trailer with a 6,3 m crane. Our best sold lumber trailer combination ever. But this old trailer, will it be sold to a new customer? Our dealers told us, absolutely it will. There is always a need for used machinery. So even though it might look ruff it will soon be the joy for someone else in need for some smaller assistance in the forest.

Our great team of foreman!

Say hi to our great team of foreman here at Fors MW along with our HR specialist Ketlin Kiisa. At Fors MW we believe in shared leadership and open doors because through that we reach a higher awareness and better understanding of all parts of the company. However, even the best of teams can always become better. To accomplish even more, and to growth in production, along with the sales increase, we have launched an internal development program for our foreman’s to become even better leaders to lift the Fors MW family even further. You will be able to follow their and the companies journey through the blog and news update.

Exhibition in Switzerland

Some weeks ago our dealer Wildtech in Switzerland took part in the Tier & Technik exhibition at St.Gallen.  It was a nice show with lots of attention both for FARMA lumber trailers as well as the nice looking hooklift system BIGAB 7 – 10 standing in an outside stand. The Swiss market has developed nicely over the last years many thanks to our new dealers in the country.

Visiting Staffare Hudiksvall, Sweden

Last Friday our CEO, as well as our marketing manager and our sales representative for Northern Sweden took yet another dealer trip. Dealer trips that we will be focusing on during 2015. Friday morning we visited one of our long-term dealers in regards of FARMA and BIGAB, Staffare in Hudiksvall. We had a really nice chat about everything from our efforts in aftermarket as well as product development. We also invited Staffare back to the factory in Estonia and hope to see you there soon. Thanks for the visit!

Visting Stigtomta, Sweden

Friday we also took the opportunity to meet with our dealer Stigtomta. We had some really interesting discussions about the changes that are happening on the Swedish market in regards to our branch and which effects that can have on the rest of us. Stigtomta is part of the John Deere concept “Dealer of tomorrow” which has changed the sales areas rapidly in Sweden with all the challenges that accompanies that. We left the meeting with lots of thoughts in regards of our own future- We thank Stigtomta for the visit and wish the best of luck for the future!

Education – Agroma Syd Staffanstorp

Last Friday we had our market and sales team visiting our new dealer, Agroma Syd in Staffanstorp, placed in the South of Sweden, for a company and product presentation. We had some really nice and productive hours with focus on BIGAB hook lifts and our dump trailer series. Agroma Syd is located in one of the growth areas of Sweden focusing on the region surrounding Sweden’s third largest city Malmö. We see a huge potential for BIGAB to grow even bigger here and with the contractor focus that Agroma Syd has we look forward of 2015 with excitement.

We welcome Agroma Syd as a Fors MW dealer!
