The back bone of the company!

A company without a business idea is not really a long-term company. Here at Fors MW our business idea is really the back bone of the company without which we would lose focus and quite quickly move in the direction of many other companies in our field and by so away from what makes us unique and market leader.

The Fors MW business idea is to market, develop, manufacture and sell small and medium scaled customer-oriented high quality products to a competitive price level in areas such as agriculture, forestry and entrepreneurship.

That might sound easy enough, something most could do but think again. To be able to own the chain from design, development, production to marketing and to sell to a competitive price at the same time as earning money as a company on yearly bases demands its hard work but it would not be done without a foundation to lie on, a back bone of the company so to speak.

The foundation of Fors MW is founded on the beliefs that it is better to earn less per sold product and sell volumes then to do the opposite. The Fors MW business idea is not unique in any sense but for companies that have turned to it and stuck with it to the last dime, it has surely been successful. The Fors MW business idea is based upon the principle that Fors MW produces a product for a price that the customer finds reasonable to pay.

Therefore it is not in the minds of Fors MW to turn to price increase as an easy solution for solving profitability. In order to continue to keep pace with the business idea, at the same time as increasing turn over and profitability, we need to keep focus on best price, in all areas.

For us best price is achieved by trying to avoid dealing with agents or middlemen since utterly it makes prices increase, prices that customers would have to pay. By selling volumes, we purchase volumes of parts, steel and all other things. By such, we pay less, then those competitors buying fewer pieces and by such we earn money on in-purchasing.  This is part of the “secret” behind the price setting of Fors MW and our success.

Being a part of the Fors MW team means being cost – conscious every step of the way and we do it to always be able to stick to the back bone of the company, to produce a product for a price that the customer finds reasonable to pay. For us that is not simply a text on a piece of paper. For us that is part of our successful history and our future. That is Fors MW. That will always be Fors MW.

Now it is time to thank all of our fantastic dealers, customers and employees all over the world for a really nice year and at the same time wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

May 2015 be the year of peace and prosperity for all!

The yard is full with trucks waiting to be loaded with machinery to be shipped out all throughout Europe. It is quite fantastic to see the production and assembly in December. There is so much going on and looking back, now when it is possible, one sees that this has been quite a good Fors MW year. The sales are continuing up and the markets are growing in most places. Also of interest is that we see the market outside of Europe growing in a really nice pace.

China off loading

Fors MW has been purchasing parts from China for more than 8 years. We have an office in the country and a couple of persons employed to deal with the sub suppliers and the quality checks. All goods are checked before packed in the containers for sea transport to Estonia. At place in Estonia all goods are quality controlled yet again. Today we receive containers from China which has been on the sea for two months. Every month, all year, we have five containers on the sea. Imagine the purchase and production logistics behind that.

An advertisement close to you!

If you live in Europe and are into agriculture or forestry the chance is quite big that you have seen one or many of our advertisements over the years. Did you know that each year, since more than 10 years now, we advertise in 11 countries in 9 different languages in around 45 magazines? That gives a total of around 350 ads on a yearly base. Pretty cool if we may say so ourselves.

A BIGAB on the way

BIGAB hook lift systems has been on the Swedish market for more than 30 years and is by far the best sold hook lift system in Sweden as well as in Europe. When travelling around Sweden one can see a BIGAB almost anywhere.

For example out on the farms in harvest time or like here doing the assistance work of a contractor in his work in a municipality. Did you know that there are more than 4000 BIGAB out on the Scandinavian market?

FARMA Energy cutter BC 18 - The most economical

Have you made the acquaintance of FARMA energy cutter BC 18, one of the most affordable?
FARMA energy cutter make your work in the forest more productive and enable you to finish the job more quickly. Felling, gathering, cutting and loading everything from trees and brush to bushes and stumps can be performed easily. Trees are cut rapidly and the fixed blade is easy to maintain. The location of the centre of gravity makes it easy to position the grapple directly by the root. The FARMA energy cutter is a combined grapple and felling head that is often used for clearing energy wood. The energy cutter is simple to install, and replaces the grapple loader's regular grapple tool.

The cutter must not be used to handle trees with a diameter larger than 18 cm at the cutting point. Bear in mind that there are many aspects that can influence the potential to cut a tree of 18 cm, such as the tree species, moisture, and ambient temperature and whether the tree is frozen.

The FARMA cutter is recommended for FARMA cranes from size C 4.6 upwards.

Price? From 1986 – 2095 euro depending on coupling!

The cutter is available for crane montage as well as excavator montage.

Oppsjö Agriculture farm, Sweden chose BIGAB long bogie!

At the scenic Hälsingland in Sweden lays the Oppsjö Agriculture farm. The farm is run by the family Magnus Johansson. Because the farm is focused on milk production and has space for 140 dairy cows, it is every year large quantities of grass that needs to be brought in to Shiloh. The grass quantities has previously been handled by using several trailers, but last year they decided to go in a different direction and to improve logistics which meant ordering a BIGAB 20 – 24 hook lift system with a long bogie. As the son Jonas points out, “Instead of the long drive on the road with the tractor, we can now use the hook lift on the land, and then exchange for the truck at the road for the transport back to the farm which is smooth and effective. At the same time the hook lift system is multi flexible and can be used for so many things in the day to day farm work he states”.

Johansson family tip!
We chose a BIGAB 20-24 equipped with spring-long bogie. The follow steering long bogie gives us a smooth trailer that follows the tractor and our other equipment on the field perfectly. At the same time the long bogie allows 2 tons higher payload on the road.

Staffare AB in Hudiksvall, one of our fantastic dealers has delivered the trailer.

Machine days Östra Sönnarslöv, Hässleholm, Sweden

Last Saturday it was time for a machine demonstration day at another one of our great dealers. In this case, it was Östra Sönnarslöv who invited potential customers to their premises in Hässleholm, Sweden. Östra Sönnarslöv has been a dealer for the Fors MW product range for more than ten years.

Many are the BIGAB, FARMA but also NIAB sold to satisfied customers in the neighborhood. This time they showed up a broad palette of FARMA trailers but also a NIAB 5-15 B. On site we founded the acquaintance of a truly satisfied customer who always worked with NIAB at their thinning and who praised the product with the words, it is an extraordinarily good machine.

We thank the Östra Sönnarlöv for a really pleasant viewing!

Visit at Horsens, Denmark!

Last week I visited our Danish FARMA dealer, Horsens machines where the work was well underway for the exhibition to come. At Horsens Machines there is now a FARMA section available where customers can get acquainted with FARMA product range. After a really nice autumn in regards of sales Horsens has invested tough for the winter on the forestry side. FARMA is for example the only forest trailer brand that Horsens now sales and promotes. The Danish market is on the move again and Horsens has employed Jacob Nielsen to sully work with the forestry section at Horsens. We wish Horsens the best of luck and look forward of some really nice sales during winter.
