Another year has passed !

Once again it is time to look back on a year that has passed. 2013 has been a year full with hard work and great challenges. At the same time, there has been a year where the results were arriving much thanks to hard work. We have invested time and resources to boost up our production but also our product range.

FARMA Generation 2 was presented in its entire product range at ELMIA WOOD this summer and the reception has been amazing on this proprietary trailer. When we look back, we can happily say that the trailers have sold above expectations. Over five T 16 4 WD are now working professionally in the woods around Europe. A very impressive figure since the launch this summer.

Our patented BIGAB Generation 2 which has been on sale since May has been received with tremendous response. That this is the trailer that the market has been waiting for are no longer any doubt. That the interest also has been so great for the larger models of BIGAB during the year pleases even more.

NIAB is our fantastic forest processor that unfortunately sometimes gets too little attention. Many are the owners who would never consider themselves to take care of their forests without a NIAB. Next year it is time to once again take the product under our wings. We will be back to the subject later on.

This fall FARMA celebrated 20 years on the market. 20 years ago, not even a product. Today, a market leader. Tens of thousands of FARMA has over the years left the factory. Today, the trailers can be found working across the world. Thank you for the 20 years together! Now we look forward to 20 more!

2013 has been a challenging year. It should neither we or others deny. However, it has also been one exciting year. For it is as such with challenges. If there is not challenge, the focus towards the future drops. After spending this week taking part of several market meetings with both some European countries as well as Fors MW International, I can happily say that the future really is at focus here at Fors MW. Many are the fun events taking part next year. We can absolutely guarantee a year to remember 2014.

Now the blog and news update on the website takes some time off. We are back on January 13. Until then, we'd like to wish all of you ;

A very Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!

Calle & Göran visited us!

Yesterday we had the great pleasure to greet Calle and Göran, our old sales managers for Sweden/Norway, welcome back to Estonia and this year’s Christmas party. Calle and Göran decided after 17 years respective 10 years within the company that it was time to move on.  Everything was kept a secret and guess if the staff were surprised when they stepped through the doors together with our new sales representatives, Anders and Tomas. Big smiles spread around the office and laughter echoed even more than they usually do. A fantastic ending to 2013. Thank you CEO Peter for this excellent initiative!

Market Meeting Fors MW International

Yesterday we had a market meeting with Tom Belton that is in charge of the Fors MW International side of the company. Tom deals with countries outside Europe and he has gotten really busy the last year mostly due to real hard work from his side. During the last year we have seen deals that have been made with Paraguay, Colombia, Canada, Japan and Papaya New Guinea to mention some.  At the meeting we discussed everything from advertising, exhibitions to actual product development. A great meeting it was and we are anxious to get going in 2014 with all the plans.

Great crane solution!

The market for loose crane sales is a huge part of what we do here at FORS MW. With a market leading range of cranes and applications we have a crane for everyone and everything. Here you can see some examples of what our cranes can be used for away from traditional sales.

We also feel this is a market with huge potential in the future – so watch this space.

Best regards,

Tom Belton

We drive what we sell!

Here at Fors MW have that philosophy that you should be able to drive and use what you sell. Therefore we have during the following months given one of our new sales guys, Anders Svensson in Sweden the opportunity to use a FARMA Generation 2, model CT 7,0 – 10 G2,  at this farm in northern Sweden.

After only a few days of work we received these nice pictures from a snowy Bjuråker. Anders comments after only a few days of using the trailer is that it is a real delight to work with, but that you all already know, he writes with a smile. It is steady and the frame steering works perfectly. It is easy to load and the visibility is perfect.

The crane is fantastic. I love the geometry and the power of it. There are not enough words to describe this crane. The C 7,0 FARMA crane is a market leader today. We sell loads of it and yes, we do understand why!

Hissink & Zn, Netherland deliver a BIGAB 14-17 with a Palfinger Epsilon TKZ 5284S

This BIGAB is supplied to WML Facilitair in Waalwijk. WML Facilitair chose for the BIGAB with crane because this combination is ideal to remove large quantities of green waste, sand, stones and industrial waste. Closed attention was paid to chosing the BIGAB Z crane 6,6 but since the customer need a longer reach he went with the Palfinger Epsilon crane. T he Palfinger Epsilon TKZ 5284S has a scope of 8,40 meter and can lift here still 550 kg. The BIGAB is rested with tires special for the road.

BIGAB in Austria

Some weeks ago BIGAB entered its first exhibition in Austria in years. It is our new dealer company Holzknecht that has taken a huge interest in BIGAB. There first step was to launch BIGAB at an agricultural exhibition in Austria. There next step? Well, you will have to wait and see. We know there plans and we do like what we see. We will of course keep you updated.

BIGAB Z crane a market success!

Time flies and a couple of years has also ready passed since the introduction of the first BIGAB crane onto the market, the Z crane 6,6. A crane developed to be a perfect fit to the BIGAB hook lift system. And a perfect fit it has been. Quite a large number of these BIGAB Z cranes have been sold throughout Europe. We do understand why. A Z crane developed for the BIGAB hook lift system gives the customers a multi-tasking trailer out of the ordinary. One trailer for all jobs!

Environmental inspection

Today we had a visit from the Estonian Environmental Board, they make an annual visit to inspect our way of handling environmental issues as we pay a tax on every liter of hazardous material being used, this applies specifically for the use of solvent in the paint process. 3 men under the supervision of Marko Verhovits spent time reviewing our environmental permits and how we fulfill our reporting, this was followed by a thorough tour of our premises. This usually takes place every year focusing on that Estonian companies follow the local and EU legislation.
