FARMA in France

Recently we sold some Farma C6.3 cranes to a French manufacturer RABAUD to use in the extensive range of equipment they produce in France.  The picture you see show our C6.3 working alongside Rabauds huge log splitter. Rabaud is a company built along the same lines as FORSMW and it is a pleasure to work with them.

You take what you can borrow

Charlie Appelgren one of the guys on our aftermarket in Sweden was in need of some construction work on the farm in Östergötland, Sweden. He took the opportunity to borrow a BIGAB from Fyhrs Construction Company. Partly to test drive it but also to perform some work. After the plates were at place he called his second neighbor Magnus working for another contractor in the neighborhood “Gardening Göran” who came over with their BIGAB 10 – 14 with Z crane and nicely tidied away the gravel and other things that were left over. A BIGAB as a neighbor can never be wrong!

Estonian visit at MaskinExpo!

We have had some really nice days at the contractor show MaskinExpo, Sweden. The weather behaved on its best side with neither rain nor too much sun. The numbers of visitors were perhaps not the best the show has seen but the ones who came had an actual interest. We had some really nice discussions and the interest for BIGAB Generation 2 was fantastic! Perhaps not the focus for most people visiting the show but still a well visited product in our stand were also the CT 7,0 – 10 FARMA Generation 2 trailer.  It is a nice looking design protected trailer which most like! We also had a nice visit from our  Estonian colleagues Ago, Tarmo, Risto and Roman for the visit to the show! We hope you enjoyed the trip!

Day one - MaskinExpo!

So it is finally time for the largest contractor show of Scandinavia just outside Arlanda airport, Stockholm Sweden. For three days the exhibition will be packed with loads of interesting visitors.

Fors MW and our market leading brands BIGAB and FARMA are of course attending the show with lots of interesting news. The frontrunner for this show is of course the BIGAB Generation 2!

A BIGAB 10 – 14 with a fantastic tipping angle, tipping speed, stronger and if possible safer than before. You have to see it to believe it! In Scandinavia the orders are coming in at a speed we have not seen for quite some time.

So welcome to our stand number 953/955 in the best Fors MW stand ever at MaskinExpo!

FORS MW attends Agra exhibition in Leipzig!

This year Fors MW took part for the first time in the exhibition named Agra in Leipzig. Leipzig is a beautiful city in the eastern part of the German republic.

The city had a traditional exhibition centre in the eastern. The first international exhibition started in the beginning of the 20th century and it is still visited by quite a large number of international companies. Especially Agra is an interesting fair for agricultural equipment, but also for entrepreneurs around fields such as farming, forestry and landscaping.

The fair Agra was from the 25th up to the 28th of April and we have showed both FARMA and BIGAB. Most of the customers found BIGAB 7 – 10 to be of interest. They were really fascinated about the solutions and what this kind of trailer can offer. Specially for landscaping they saw chances for using the 7-10.

The FARMA CT 7,0-12 G2 which we have shown AT PLACE was also an eye catcher. The strong crane and the new designed design protected body had high approval rates by the visitors at the show.

We are proud that we had such a nice interest in our products and we are looking forward to place more of our well designed products into the eastern market!

Machine demonstration days at Häggbergs!

During three days it has been barbecues at one of our dealers Häggbergs Traktor & Maskin in Östergötland, Sweden.  We started with rain at their place in Österstad, but despite the weather a lot of people attended and it became a really nice event.

In Norrköping the weather turned for the better. The yard was even there packed with machinery and equipment. The atmosphere was very good. The tour ended at their place in Kisa, where we were greeted by Agne Gustavsson that welcomed us to their newly opened facility.

We thank Häggbergs for some really nice machinery demonstration days and a well organized tour!

MaskinExpo - It is time!

In a week the gates open to this year´s exhibition “party” for contractors in Scandinavia when it is time for yet another rendezvous at MaskinExpo, Stockholm Sweden. Fors MW is as usual at place with a number of interesting products from our market – leading brands.

This year the visitors are able to get acquainted with both BIGAB Generation 2 as well as FARMA Generation 2. Two new trailer series designed to meet current and future challenges.

BIGAB Generation 2 - A product of Fors MW - a stronger link in your chain of transport!

We tested BIGAB Generation 2 - Do it you too!

On Tornby farm, just outside Norrköping we met the family Hagberg. The father Håkan with his sons Christian and Nicklas runs the farm of around 350 acres of crop production. In addition, they also manage the company “Hagberg Construction”. They provide seeding, spraying and harvesting . They have also invested in some machinery to do work outside of the agricultural field such as wheel loaders, excavators and sweepers. One can safely say that Hagberg Construction cover most needs and ensures to solve nearly all.

The family Hagberg also has a BIGAB 22 – 27 hook lift trailer in their machine park. A BIGAB that has been used extensively in the business. When it came time for the final test of the of Fors MW new patented product BIGAB G2, we wanted to place the trailer in the hands of someone who really knows how to handle a BIGAB. In a person who has driven a lot and someone who would really put the trailer to the test.

The choice of the test place for our prototype BIGAB G2 trailer fell on Hagberg Construction. Here, we dare to say that the trailer really got to show its true colors. Since the fall of 2012, our prototype trailer has been used heavenly in the work of the machine station with plenty of hooking and tipping.

Christian, who has been responsible for the tests are very pleased with the results. “A great product of an already well – proven and market leading product” is his spontaneous reaction. The thing that stands out in particular is that the hooking cycle now has been made safer because of the position of the rear piston.  That the trailer also manages a easier, faster and higher tipping makes it even better.  “It feels like a regular tipper but with all the benefits of a hook lift trailer” he concludes.

Forst Live Germany!

As previous years we also this year took part in the Forst Live exhibition in Offenburg, Germany. After some really cold months the sun finally decided to make an appearance and spring arrived to the delight of both customers and exhibitors.

Fors MW showed a FARMA CT 7,0 - 12 Generation 2 trailer. A design protected Generation 2 trailer which are available in sizes 10, 12, 14 4 WD and 16 4 WD. Along with that we also showed the German best seller FARMA CT 5,1 – 8 as well as a BIGAB 7 – 10 with crane. The popular grapple series was of course at stand as well.

There were great interest to the products and the interest for BIGAB with the crane shows that there are actually no limits to what this product could achieve for its users. As we say, it is only the imagination that sets the limit for the use of a BIGAB! We look forward of seeing several more deals for BIGAB in the nearest future.

We visit Roteviksbro service station, Berghagen Sweden!

A nice day in spring we visited Egon Herrström at Roteviksbro service station just outside of Uddevalla, Sweden. Egon is the proud owner of a BIGAB 12 – 15 with Z – crane purchased through the dealer Andresens Maskin. Egon uses his BIGAB trailer hard in his daily operations. Transports of various kinds are made every day. There is always use for a hook lift trailer says Egon. He also states that investing in the BIGAB trailer with Z crane was among the best things he had done. A hook lift system he today could not imagine being without.

We thank Egon Herrström at Roteviksbro service station in Berghagen and wish him the best of luck with the business. Egon is a fine representative of the contractors without whose work Sweden or any other country would stop functioning.

Rydman Construction, Ljusterö, Sweden!

One day in April, we took a visit to one of our loyal BIGAB customers, Mats Rydman. Rydman construction has a lot of work in drainage, demolition, trees and gardens. Rydman is now on his third BIGAB trailer. He was actually the very first to test and buy the BIGAB 12 – 15 with foldable tower when realized on market, a trailer that he used quite tough over the years.

Rydman construction has a lot of job of taking down trees and shrubs on land so after a while he chose to invest in a new 12 – 15 but this time with a FARMA crane.  When BIGAB got a Z crane in its product range, we needed a talented and experienced test pilot for the new Z crane. Our choice was Mats whose work could really use the crane to its fullest. When the test period was over, he was so impressed by the cranes performance that he chose to purchase both the trailer and the crane. The trailer is equipped with frame steering, an option Mats today says that he cannot be without.  He also mentions how much he appreciates the reliability of the trailer/crane and the fact that the BIGAB Z crane can be folded with the grapple and thus does not interfere with hooking or tipping.

Mats are yet another of Sweden’s fantastic entrepreneurs who says that he has never been employed, but also not without a job for a single day. We thank Mats for the interesting visit!

Managing Director & Head of Purchasing at place in China!

For two weeks in April, President Peter Kastberg and head of Purchasing Meelis Koik went to China to visit both old suppliers and also to get acquainted with new ones. It was a lot of traveling. The impressions were numerous. China is a diverse country and there are always things to learn and see. At the same time they also took the opportunity to take a look at the new premises which we rent in the province of Jiangsu. Fors MW chose a few months ago to leave downtown Shanghai for more suitable premises. The reason for moving, we will get back to in blogs to come.

Preparing for ELMIA WOOD, Sweden, June 5th to 8th!

On Monday we had a follow up meeting in the soon to become once again our ElmiaWood stand. We informed Johan Löfgren from Elmia about our plans and desires. As usual we were greeted with a pleasant and professional approach that we appreciate.

With Göran Svensson from Farmartjänst, who help us with the construction of the stand, we went through the construction of the stand, which products that will be displayed and where. There is much to be planned. We have worked with Göran and Farmartjänst for several years and are very satisfied with the collaboration.

ELMIA WOOD is by far our most important trade fair which only takes place every four years. Since it is an international event with visitors from around the world, the insert from Fors MW side is immense. Never before have we shown so many products in one stand. Never before have visitors been able to become acquainted with so many new products in on and the same stand.

 We would like to welcome you all to ELMIA's most news-packed booth on June 5 to 8 in the forests of Jönköping, Sweden. We very much look forward to seeing you!
