Visitors from North of Finland.

On the 29 of January we had a few guests over from a company in North of Finland, Lakkapää Rovaniemi OY , discussing a potential business arrangement.

Lakkapää Rovaniemi OY deals with a large variety of products, forestry equipment being amongst many others.

Their stores are located all over Finland (a number of them even in North of Sweden) but we are very interested in the northern parts of this beautiful country ... areas surrounding Rovaniemi.

So we are keeping Our fingers crossed  for a profitable cooperation in the future!

Serial production of FARMA T10 G2 started

Finally it was time to start up the serial production of the FARMA Generation 2 trailers. In assembly they have started to mount the first series of our design protected T10 FARMA trailer. As always, in the beginning, in serial production there are quite many adjustments needed but the outcome looks very nice and is soon ready to be shipped off to our customers all over Europe awaiting the trailer.

Don’t put things in the wrong place

Work safety and things in order is an important thing in production to get things running smoothly and to avoid interruptions in production. This week we have put up paint restriction areas in part of the factory so that goods are not placed in dangerous places or block important access roads. Here is an example from the paint line and the control panel area that may not be blocked as it is the key area for operating the paint line.

Hindersmässan (fair) 2013

Today it is the last day of this year’s so called Hindersmässan in Kumla, situated in the middle of Sweden in a region named Närke. It has been fantastic weather with wonderful sunshine and biting cold.
Hindersmässan in Örebro is a centuries – old tradition that attracts a lot of people related to agriculture and construction from Närke but also from surrounding regions.

Our dealer Närkes Traktorcenter has also, traditionally, loaded the yard with machinery and nice dining opportunities for their customers. For us at Fors MW it is always a pleasure to attend because Närkes Traktorcenter makes a very competent effort to promote all our products.
In the courtyard are four BIGAB hook lift systems, one BIGAB tipper and four FARMA lumber trailers in different versions and to add to the perfection there were also one tractor processor NIAB 5 – 15 B.

On site from Fors MW are Göran and Calle and our successors Anders and Eric.

Representant from ES Hydagent AB in Saue this week.

ES Hydagent  AB  is a longtime business partner of Ours ... an engineering and construction company that specializes in customized system solutions.

What it basically means is, that we  let them know what functions we want to see on our machines and Hydagent will make our ideas work  - they tailor the hydraulic systems according to our requirements  from the smallest of controls  to complex systems.

Since we need many different pumps, valves, motors, cylinders, equipment accessories, control systems etc. in order to meet Our customers needs its only logical that we work closely  with one of the best suppliers ( if not the best one ) in that field.

This week we had a representant from Hydagent in Our factory consulting and helping out  - Our main goal was to do a final inspection of the hydraulic systems on Bigab 10-14 from Our G2 series.

Time to meet Eric Queckfeldt – New member of the Swedish sales team

Hello!

My name is Eric Queckfeldt, called Q. I am one of the “new” guys that will take over the sales team on the Swedish market from Göran and Car Erik. I am married and the family consists of both children and two dogs in a house in South of Sweden named Skanör. In my spare time I work with water safety and sits on the board of the Swedish Life Saving sociality in the region of Skåne. In the summer, I am responsible for a lifesaving station in the municipality where I live. Additionally I also take part in something we in Sweden would call “night walks”. That basically means that we are grownups that organize ourselves and when there are disco for the young in our municipality we go out on the streets during night time to see to it that as little as possible happens to our kids. We are a link between the young and the police. We can drive young people home in the night, call parents or just be there to listen when they need us to.

I grew up on a large farm in the Skara region of Sweden and have studied at the agricultural school. I have a great interest in technology and machinery has always been a natural part of life. Through my life I´ve tried a lot of interesting things and the tasks have been varied. I have worked in agriculture and at machine stations and at contractors. I´ve driven trucks and has had my own trucking company with drives mostly to Norway. In a while I worked as a shipping inspector in charge of the technical part of the ferries between Malmö – Copenhagen. This is simply to mention a few things that I have worked with.

I´ve been selling excavators, telehandlers and worked at HC Petersen with brands like Iseki, Zetor and Vitra. The last 10 – 15 years I have been active in the turf branch focusing on sales through dealers. Several of you dealers, I have already had contact with over the years when we in one way or another have worked together. I look forward to continue that relationship. Finally, I must admit, although I have been hanging around for a couple of years now, that I feel an exciting tingling sensation in my stomach. I´m really looking forward to start working with Fors MW´s quality products and all you dealers. Now comes a time where both Calle and Göran will try to pass on all their knowledge to us new guys so that we can make the transfer in charge at mid – year as smooth as possible. This so we can continue the development and take the sales to new heights in Sweden, Denmark and Norway.

Sincerely,
Q

And remember - Youth is a work of Nature, Age is a work of Art.

Meet Anders Svensson – a new member of the sales team in Sweden/Norway

My name is Anders Svensson and I am very happy to introduce myself as the new sales representative for Northern Sweden and the Norwegian market. My previous job was at the dealer level in machinery trade so I have worked directly towards end customers for many years. The experience I have gained in regards both of machines in practical use as well as which conditions end customers and dealers need to succeed all together I hope will come in handy at my work at Fors MW. With this in the trunk, I hope to become a sounding board for both customers and dealers, a sounding board who understands your specific conditions in your business.

My residence is Bjuråker, a district in northern region of Hälsingland, Sweden. Here I live together with my family on a small farm where I grew up. In this way, one can say that I was born with machines in the blood. After the first working week in Fors MW the head is of course full of new impressions and lessons learned, in writing, I am trying to sort and organize all the information to be as prepared as one can be when I meet your questions and concerns. There is much to learn and it will take some time but do not hesitate to get in touch with me. What I cannot answer directly I will find the answer for since that is ultimately the quickest way to learn! I am confident that together we can continue to build on the amazing journey that FARMA, BIGABD and NIAB has. We will surely meet at various shows and fairs in the spring. I look forward to meet you there!

All the best, Anders Svensson
