Festival of Model-Aircraft sports...

On the 26-27 of May in Velikije Luki, Russia Festival of Model-Aircraft sports took place. For the third time this year.

The sky got filled with bright colors and different types of airplane models: gliders,aerobatic models, exact model size copies of original planes used today and of course models of jet aircrafts.

The Festival is growing stronger with each year passing. Bringing to Velikie Luki more and more competitors from all over Russia and neighboring Baltic states – with 100 attending teams this year.

Our welder Anatoli Korobeinikov has dealt with model aiplanes for quite some time and we are glad to let You know that his crew had the pleasure of winning the competition of 2012.

Meet another BIGAB user – Trädgårds Göran!

Gardening Göran (Göran is a common Swedish name) is the English translation of the company name of this successful company that was founded by Göran Carlsson. He has six employees that work all year around but in peak season it can be up to 15 people. They handle turf and maintenance of facilities and buildings for both companies as well as private persons, all in need of assistance. In winter they also take care of snow removal and sanding.

The machine park consists of several nice items but the latest purchase was BIGAB 10 – 14 with a Z crane with radio control all which was bought when he traded in his old BIGAB 7 – 10 with a FARMA crane. They applaud the cranes unique advantages mainly because it can park the bucket so that it is not in the way when they need to tip or hook the container. They also stated that they will never again buy a trailer without frame steering. The frame steering is praised again and again for the opportunities it provides to handle those really tight areas.

The hook lift trailer is mainly used to drive dirt and gravel and to transport shrub and brushwood and to lay out the topsoil. It is also used to move a lot of machinery that other way would take time to move, or that are not allowed to drive on public road.

This is yet again another very successful entrepreneur who has understood the use of BIGAB in his work. That is for us the best of ambassadors for BIGAB!

Hot day´s in Sweden

The second day of the show MaskinExpo in Stockholm, Sweden has provided us with sunny and really warm weather and quite a lot of visitors. Lots of interest for the new hook lift trailer by the name BIGAB Generation 2 has made our day. The orders keep s on coming. Today we also enjoyed a visit from Estonia. It was four of our fantastic ladies that came for a visit to have a good time and to be inspired for future work. We thank them for the visit and hope that they have a safe journey back!

BIGAB proudly presents – BIGAB Generation 2!

At the contractor show in Sweden, named MaskinExpo, Fors MW today presented this year´s main transportation news in the stand. A patent - pending hook lift trailer that we call both faster and smarter. BIGAB Generation 2 has a tip angle of 65 degrees, an increase of almost 20 degrees to the previous model. The tip rate is improved by 38 % and the hooking is 46 % faster.

This trailer is equipped with frame lock/ bogie blocking for safer and quieter hooking and a bolted drawbar for increased flexibility. Another feature is the double sided hydraulic lock on the frame. That the trailer has a shoot blasted chassi painted in two – component paint (now standard on all our products) makes it even better. The paint has higher UV – protection which makes the paint harder with a lasting glow.

The crane with the reach of 8,5 with double extensions and link arm system is an modern and appealing crane to work with. In comparison with other trailers on the market FARMA is to be considered light in weight which has loads of benefits but for this user in the video it was essential since he works on heritage ground that means that the work needs to be performed with as little ground impact as possible. Maskin Expo – soon we start!

Today we visited the show grounds and our tent is up and our location looks great! We are in the corner of a crossroad why all visitors have a great chance to see our nice products. On Monday our trailers and equipment will arrive and we will then start to put our things together for the show.

On our dealer trip around western part of Sweden the turn has now come to visit yet another prestigious company built on the entrepreneurial spirit. We are greeted by Lennart Johansson, who is in charge for the part of the company that sells our products. Lennart has many years of industry experience and knowledge of our products. We talk about the future, our products and also about the things that Lennart think that we should improve, because there is always more to do and you can always get better! Lennart expresses his opinion clear and straight which is something that we greatly appreciate. Not to listen to customers means that you quickly could lose the position of number one. Next week we kick off the exhibition season for the summer of 2012. Every second year is usually full of exhibitions to take part in, while every other year, we have less to attend to. This year we have fewer fairs to visit but nevertheless we will put on one amazing show. We have loads of interesting and surprising news for the season and we cannot wait to show them to all of you!

It takes structure to build a FARMA

Around eight years ago Fors MW decided that it was time to purchase a material steering system. The company was by then twelve years old and growing fast. Structure and order was needed. The market was scanned for material steering systems and in Hudiksvall Sweden we found one by the name of Monitor which was specialized towards production companies in the industrial industry.


Said and done Fors MW bought the Monitor system and has since then worked hard to integrate the system into the process of our company. It takes time learn and to adopt a material steering system and already from the beginning we took the decision to take it slow but to make it right. Last year we adopted the financial system into Monitor and now the time have come to integrate the different parts of the production system into the process instead of as today, having a couple of persons doing the numbers for them, the workers would actually do the numbers themselves directly Monitor. Therefore Fors MW have set up a number of working stations where the staff now takes the time from production to feed the system with information when and where it actually happens. That will in return free up time for the administrators of Monitor to take the next step in the material structuring process. We will keep you up to speed!

To Paraguay it is all about the loading!

Today it was finally time to load the cargo for Paraguay. One BIGAB and a couple of FARMA will travel quite a distance to reach there target. Today it is all about money and cargo transports is expansive so you need to be able to maximize every bit of the load. First out to be loaded was the BIGAB 8 – 12.

Spring show at GH Traktorcity AB

It was predicted to snow the day of the show but it just came a little spring rain in the afternoon on an otherwise beautiful spring day when GH Traktorcity invited their customers to their show. The customers who came were received in a generous manner by the staff and all the backing of the supplier representatives. There were hot dogs and drinks of all kinds. There were a lot of products on the yard but none of Fors MW products were to be seen which indeed is the first time it has happened to me is. If it is due to failure in planning or a lack of delivery due to high order book is written in the stars but I am sure it will change soon. GH does and has always made a sterling contribution to us and we both know that to sell machines you need to have them in the yard.

Meet a customer in Ireland

This CT 6,3 – 9 is based in the lovely county of Offaly in Ireland. The trailer is owned by Tom Vaughan and his wife Petra. The trailer is equipped with pump and tank along with radio control of the crane and extension rear banks.

A vital part of Toms ever expanding tree business, not just in the local forest and plantations but lots of tree work on road side maintenance and residential work around the town. The radio steering makes it an ideal crane when working in tight and often blind spaces. Tom is satisfied with his trailer and loves the crane and would recommend both to other customers.

Staffans Maskiner AB, Kungälv

On our dealer trip a month ago we decided to look into the branch of Staffans Maskiner located just north of Kungälv. It is a brand new premise along with Beck Maskiner. On site, we meet Henrik Niklasson, responsible at place in Kungälv. There was a lot of product talk since Henrik just recently started selling our products. Henrik also took the time to show us around the newly built facility and we were impressed but both it and Henrik.

BIGAB 12 – 15 with Z crane - Ireland

Our sales representative Tom Belton took a couple of days and went to Ireland to meet up with our fantastic dealers over there. This is one of several updates from that journey.

In Ireland we have since a few months back a BIGAB 12 – 15 with Z crane operating. The trailer is owned by Damien Slattery. The 12 – 15 is equipped with a Z crane and frame steering. A frame steering that Damian now would never like to be without. This trailer is a total all rounder. If there is any trailer out there working such a wide range of jobs, I would like to know where it is. Damien is using this trailer to the fullest in farming, in forestry, in waste managing; dealing with wood chips and bagging stone deliveries are just some of the jobs this trailer with the BIGAB crane in combination can be used for. That Damien needed a BIGAB with a Z crane was clear as soon as he stepped into our dealer’s yard due to the diverse business he has. In regards to BIGAB there is truly only your imagination that sets the limits for the user range of that trailer. Damian is really pleased with his trailer and crane and he would gladly recommend it to others!
